What Is Epoxy Flooring?
Where most people believe that the breakdown of epoxy flooring to be advanced and hard to explain, your standard epoxy floor coating boils down to 2 major elements. An epoxy resin and a urethane hardener.
What makes epoxy flooring an epoxy flooring is the chemical reaction that takes place between the two elements when mixed together; typically in a chemical resistant 5-gallon bucket. This reaction can take anywhere between 5-30 minutes depending on additives and type of epoxy.
As for additives, we offer a wide range to implement into your epoxy floorings such as metallic pigments, flakes, silica sands and much more to make your epoxy flooring best suited for its environment.

Why You Should Use Epoxy Flooring
The Bang For Your Buck Flooring System
Unmatched Durability
One of the biggest benefits of using an epoxy floor coating is the unmatched durability that the flooring solution brings to the table. Epoxy is actually the strongest flooring system on the market with resistance to damage from physical hazards like dropped objects, heavy foot/vehicle traffic and even the heavy vibrations from industrial equipment. Epoxy flooring is also completely waterproof and offers resistance to fire and electricity.
Superior Chemical Resistance
Along with resistances to most physical damage, epoxy coatings take it one step further with resistance to damage from even the harshest chemicals on the market like industrial cleaners, battery acid, and even gasoline. Along with resisting damage from these hazards, epoxy flooring makes spills easier to clean with its nonporous design that keeps all moisture isolated on its surface for easy removal.
Unlimited Customization
One of the most overlooked benefits of epoxy flooring is the fact that the flooring solutions offer an endless amount of customization. We offer a wide selection of base colors, the option to use multi-colored or single-colored flakes, and even the use of metallic pigments to create a one of a kind flooring. For industrial purposes, we offer stencils to create walkways, barriers, and text for safety and efficiency.
Easy Maintenance
As you have read above, epoxy flooring offers a nonporous design. This nonporous design makes maintaining your epoxy floor an almost carefree task. Since there are no waxes or polishes used in epoxy flooring maintenance, all you need is a simple soft bristle broom and a standard wet mop. In some commercial facilities and garages, you can even recruit a garden hose to clean your epoxy floor!
Extremely Hygenic
Epoxy flooring systems are one of the few floorings to be approved by the USDA for its extreme hygienic properties. This means that epoxy floors can be used in restaurants all the way into operating theaters in medical facilities. This is because the seamless and nonporous design of epoxy offers no place of refuge for nasty germs and dropped food particles to hide away and cause major health concerns.
Rapid Installation
One of the biggest advantages that epoxy flooring has over other traditional flooring systems; especially in commercial and industrial facilities, is the rapid installation process. Epoxy is so fast to install, you can have your flooring ready for use in as little as 4-5 days. For industrial and commercial facilities, we offer a quick cure epoxy that can be ready for light duty in 1 hour.
